Stewardship is about God's abundance and our trust in that abundance. Everything we have and are is a gift from the God who loves us. REcognizing how blessed we are, we seek to give back to God a measure of all that we have received. The Scriptures say, "Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you will get back." (Luke 6:38) In other words, generosity breeds generosity. Stewardship is a way of life that is Christ-centered rahter than self-centered in every aspect of our life - with our time, our talent, and our treasure. To be a responsible stewardship, our giving must be both planned and sacrificial. Without a plan, our stewardship of our Time, Talent and Treasure may never end up being more than good intentions. Without sacrificing our generosity, it may only serve our purpose rather than God's.
