Mission: Provide hospitality for arriving parents and godparents. Share faith in small group. Possibly give presentation as part of the classes. Become familiar with the Rite of Baptism. Know our Catholic faith.
Time: Assigned Sunday afternoon(s) 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Eligibility: All interested parishioners
Special Skills: Openness to share. Serve as part of a team. Have a good knowledge of the Catholic faith.
Mission: To pass on the understanding and love for the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. Be an active Catholic who participates in weekly liturgy and the sacramental life of the Church. Prepare lesson plans. Participate in the Family Program and the Catechetical meetings.
Time: Sunday mornings from 10:45am - 11:45am September-April. Attendance at Mass, either at 9:45am or 12:00pm on Sunday, or 5:00pm or 7:00pm on Saturday.
Eligibility: All interested parishioners
Special Skills: A great love for children. Be able to organize and prepare lessons that are creative. Have an understanding of the sacraments of initiation. Be able to understand and relate to parents and children. Have a willingness to take courses required for certification. Virtus training, background check and fingerprinting is required.
Mission: Prepare weekly lessons. Seek ways to help candidates understand the meaning and the purpose of Confirmation. Be an active Catholic who participates in weekly liturgy and the sacramental life of the Church. Participates in and helps to plan retreats and events for the candidates, sponsors, and parents along with other catechetical leaders on the team.
Time: One Sunday each month from September to May from 2:00pm - 4:00pm in the Assembly Room for Confirmation Preparation.
Eligibility: All interested parishioners
Special Skills: Zeal for the Catholic faith; love and understand youth; understanding of the sacraments of initiation. Have ability to prepare monthly lessons; willingness to be a mentor and to be a good example; relate to candidates, sponsors, and parents. Have a willingness to take courses for certification. Virtus training, background check and fingerprinting is required.
Mission: Help and develop retreat for confirmation. Develop dramatic presentation (acting, costumes, working with props.) Manifest a continual relationship with God and be an active member of the Catholic faith; weelky participation at Mass.
Time: Month of May prior to the Sacrament of Confirmation
Eligibility: All interested parishioners confirmed in the Catholic Faith.
Special Skills: Must be confirmed in the Catholic Faith. Love for young people, have a positive attitude, and a willingness to share gifts and the love of God with others.
Note: The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated in conjunction with the parishes of Sagrada Familia, St. Stephen, St. Colman, Our Lady of Lourdes, and St. Michael the Archangel.
Mission: To help make the Bible come to life for children (aged 7-12) through art, music, teaching, drama, games, cooking, and story-telling. Volunteers needed as teacher aides.
Time: Vacation Bible School is one week in summer for each program. Meetings and preparation are prior to VBS.
Eligibility: All interested parishioners confirmed in the Catholic Faith.
Special Skills: Love for young children. Have a willingness to share your gifts with others. Work as part of a team. Virtus training, background check and fingerprinting is required.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
Mission: Serve as an example or mentor in the Catholic faith for those seeking to enter the Church, or to receive Eucharist and confirmation. Assist with discussions and when appropriate, with teachings. Share your experience of faith. Help to connect candidates to the Church community. Attend to the personal journey of candidates.
Time: Friday's from 7:00pm - 9:00pm (English and English)
Eligibility: Fully confirmed member of the parish.
Special Skills: Be a practicing Catholic, team oriented, loyal, humble, patient, respectful, growing in faith, respect for confidentiality.
Mission: A faith based group for all youth. Focus on service projects and promote social and spiritual development including participation at Mass, retreats and community involvement. Adults can serve to assist members of the group learn and grow in their personal formation to be an example of faith.
Youth Mass: 4th Sunday of the month
Meetings: 4th Sunday of the month from 2: 00 pm-4:00pm

Mission: We are always gathering ideas and looking for interested young adults to help plan and facilitate social and spiritual activities to build community amongst, and respond to, the needs of young adults and form ties to the greater parish community. If you have a desire to participate and serve in this area of ministry, please contact the Parish Office.
Time: Monday evenings in the Upper Room.
